In order for Grant McGregor to fully support and maintain your computer system we need to perform a thorough audit on your network. This will confirm and highlight any problem areas.

We will then produce a straightforward report which outlines issues detected along with our recommendations for resolving and/or improving them.

Hardware assessment

Our IT support team will firstly audit and assess the configuration and performance of your company servers, each PC/Laptop/Mac, networking hardware and all your printers.

Email audit

Grant McGregor will then:

• Assess the configuration and performance of the Exchange email server
• Audit and confirm anti-spam and anti-malware measures on the Exchange email server
• Audit and confirm the email domain record
• Discuss requirements and solutions for web-based email for key staff and/or mobile email to mobile smartphone devices (iPhone, Smartphones etc).

Internet assessment

We will also examine your business internet. This involves:

• Auditing the configuration and performance of the broadband connection including routing and failover
• Examining anti-malware protection measures for safe browsing
• Looking at Firewall measures for protection from vulnerabilities and everyday attacks
• Discussing potential requirements and solutions for web filtering of web-browsing to prevent staff from browsing inappropriate or dangerous (e.g. phishing) websites.

Back-Up/Disaster Recovery

Lastly we will take a look at your company's existing back up procedures, examining success, schedule and speed of back-up. Most importantly, we can assess how this process fits into broader disaster recovery plans and how well it works in reality.

Back-up is only of any utility to you if it works, is tested and can be restored quickly to recover a file or the whole server. We will then discuss potential improvements and solutions for back-up of company data and disaster recovery.
