Adobe Acrobat X and Adobe Reader X – End of Support Announcement
Adobe Acrobat released an announcement recently that technical support for the Adobe Acrobat 10.X and Adobe Reader 10.X will end on the 15th November 2015.
Adobe runs a Lifecycle Policy, whereby they offer support for the 5 years following the general availability date. Now the end of support date has been confirmed, what does this mean for you and your business?
While you may still be able to use Acrobat and Reader X, there will be no technical support offered by Adobe for this version. This also means that there will be no software updates and they will no longer address any existing bugs or security issues. All support for these versions will be discontinued completely.
The latest versions available now are Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Reader DC. Back in July we released an article about the new offerings of the latest version and we would urge you to have a look at this article before upgrading.
Upgrading to the Adobe DC will ensure that you benefit from all of the new functional enhancements and security updates…and not to mention the technical support should you need it!
For a friendly conversation about how we can help your business, give Grant McGregor a call today, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
